
Wildfire Representative Trials - 2027 Representative Season
Camden Valley Wildfire are pleased to announce our 2027 Representative Trials dates
(please see further below for session dates and times)
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Attendance at both Week 1 & 2 trials is required for ALL players who are either new to Representative basketball OR new to Camden Valley Wildfire. If you are a 2026 Wildfire Representative player, you have the OPTION of NOT attending Week 1 of trials without consequence (hence, there will be no absence noted if you choose not to attend) however, you MUST attend Week 2 to be considered for a callback in Week 3*.
Rep Trials will run over THREE (3) consecutive weeks (Weeks starting Monday 12th October, Monday 19th October & Monday 26th October 2026). You will NOT get an opportunity to attend Week 3 - Invites Only Trial session if you miss both Week 1 and Week 2 of trials. There will be NO exceptions.

Please bring a light and dark reversible singlet (or shirt), basketball and water.
For all prior Representative Players - no Rep jerseys will be permissable during trials. Please wear your Wildfire training jersey only.
Arrive 30 minutes early to receive an ID number and make $50.00 payment (card or cash).
Following the second trial, Wildfire will post the list of names invited back for the third trial online.
If your child is selected for a Wildfire Representative team, an offer email will be sent.
Parents & Players will have 48 hours to respond if they are committing to Wildfire for the 2027 season.
Following confirmation of all teams, the club will make announcements via the Wildfire website & Socials, further information will be communicated to all teams and families via email.
Trial Fee
One time $50 Fee to trial, cash or eftpos payment at first trial session required. No payment = No Trial.
*For (prior) 2026 Wildfire Rep players who choose to only attend Week 2 of trials (and not Week 1), please note: the trial fee of $50.00 will remain the same (there is no discounted rate). It is up to YOU if you'd like to trial Week 1 or not.

Each trial is a 90 minute session.
*IMPORTANT - Please take note of the 2027 Age Divisions below and ensure to register your child for the correct age division (trials are for the 2027 Representative season)

*Please Note: For Under 16 Boys - Due to the anticipated number of player registrations for Under 16 Boys, Wildfire will be randomly splitting the age division into two trial groups, to be held over two trial session times. Both sessions will run in the exact same manner -
it will be no different if you are allocated to trial in Group A OR Group B.

Wildfire are not guaranteed to field a team Waratah Men's or Women's Team for the 2027 Season.

2027 Representative Season Fees - Metro Junior League (MJL) Only
MJL Rep Squad/Player: $1,050.00
Development Team/Player: $800.00*
*As we did in 2026, in 2027 Wildfire aims to have one Representative Development Team per junior age Division (where appropriate). The Rep Dev Team will have their own dedicated coach, training schedule and will participate in the Barrengarry Conference and/or other Basketball competitions or tournaments (at CVBA Management's approval). Rep Dev Team nominations may be called up to a rostered spot on a MJL Team at the Head Coach's discretion.
Representative fees are payable over instalments. Payment plan will be provided upon successful nomination to a Metro Junior League or Rep Development team.
For the 2027 Rep Season, new Representative Wildfire players will need to purchase their own personalised Representative Jerseys & Gameday Shorts.
Players will also be required to purchase the Wildfire Basketball Shorts and Warm Up Top (if they do not already have one).
Prices for 2027 Representative Uniform is as follows:
Reversible Wildfire (Personalised w/Surname) - $60.00
Wildfire Basketball Shorts - $40.00
Wildfire Warm Up Top - $40.00
Wildfire Hoodie (Optional) - $65.00 (NO other hoodies will be permissible prior to Rep games)
Training Uniform:
Wildfire training/local competition reversible jersey - $60.00
Wildfire training/local competition game shorts - $40.00
*It is a non-negotiable requirement that all players selected in a MJL or junior Development representative team must register to play in one of Wildfire Basketball Junior local competitions.
Transfer Rules
Players who previously played representative basketball at another association must complete the BNSW Intent to Trial form HERE.
If the Intent to Trial form is not completed, the player will not be allowed to trial.
Wildfire Basketball can accept a maximum of two transfers from another Representative Association from the Metro Junior League, per age group. Players who have moved into the Wildfire catchment area can apply for special consideration, to not be classified as being a transfer.
2027 Representative Season Fees - Waratah Senior League (WSL) Only
Rostered/Squad Player: $1,200.00
Development Player: $950.00
Representative fees are payable over instalments. Payment plan will be provided upon successful nomination to a Waratah Senior League team.
For the 2027 WSL Rep Season, new Representative Wildfire players will need to purchase their own personalised Representative Jerseys & Gameday Shorts.
Players will also be required to purchase the Wildfire Basketball Shorts and Warm Up Top (if they do not already have one).

Basketball NSW Clearance Forms (both Juniors & Seniors):
If selected into a Wildfire Representative team, a BNSW Clearance form will need to be lodged with the player’s prior Association. Please note that clearances are subject to approval by the previous Association and can be rejected for matters such as outstanding fees.
