Competitions Manager

Part time/approx. 20 hrs per week / with potential to increase to full time

To develop, implement, manage and grow basketball competitions for juniors, seniors and open age level at a domestic level.

Manage existing competitions.

Develop new competitions

Promote existing / new competitions

Answer all player/parent enquiries (including new players enquiries) - Phone/email

Build report with participants / parents

Trouble shoot any problems on game day

Follow up outstanding fees and uniform payments

Assist players/parents with BNSW registrations / joining teams on Sports TG

Add new players to teams as we receive enquiries (in consultation with head referees)

Communication with Parents and Players – Phone /email enquires

Organise end of season – trophies, activities

Set dates for new comps (in consultation with Supervisor)

Set up new comps on Sports TG

Input weekly results

Print scoresheets

Hours – to be negiotiated

Tuesday – 4.00pm to 8.30pm

Saturday – 9.30am to 4.30pm

Sunday – 3.00pm to 6.00pm (currently) 3.00pm – 8.00pm (from December)

To develop, implement, manage and grow basketball programs for juniors, senior and open age level. This includes programs from grass roots (Aussie Hoops/Learn to play/School Program), community engagement (inclusivity and diversity) to High Performance Programs.
Develop, implement and manage a complete basketball coaching program across all levels and age groups
Act as a mentor and supervisor to all coaches in both the domestic and representative competitions
Lead the coaching selection process for domestic and representative competitions
Develop programs for player and coaching retention
Organise for coaches to attend ongoing training
Allocate coaches for Sporting schools, Aussie Hoops, Learn to play and local training
